Oversee.net Acquires Moniker

LOS ANGELES — Online marketing solutions company Oversee.net has acquired domain registrar Moniker for an undisclosed sum. Oversee.net purchased Moniker today from Seavast Corp, which operates a leading online ad network.

“While Moniker is a high-performing organization, Seevast has committed to focusing in other areas,” Seevast CEO Lance Podell said. “We wish Monte and his team continued success. We believe there are great synergies between Oversee and Moniker that can accelerate the growth of the business.”

Moniker will remain at its headquarters in Pompano Beach, Fla. and will continue to be led by company President Monte Cahn who inked a multiyear deal with Oversee.

“Oversee’s advanced technology platform and strong financial resources give us the capability to focus on further expanding our market opportunity,” Cahn said. “This is a dynamic industry and our collaboration with SnapNames puts Oversee well ahead of any competitor. This is a tremendous opportunity for Oversee and Moniker.”

An ICANN accredited registrar, Moniker has been one of the significant domain asset management companies to lead the way in live and silent domain auctions. Moniker also offers domain name creation, registration, acquisition, portfolio management, theft protection, appraisal services, traffic monetization and other services.

“We are delighted that Monte Cahn and his team of experienced professionals are becoming part of the Oversee family," said Lawrence Ng, chief executive officer and co-founder of Oversee. "Our primary objective, as a company, is to continue adding and developing capabilities that offer customers a greater breadth of products and services. Moniker is widely respected by industry players and has a reputation for knowledge, security and professionalism."
